Scientific/Technical papers may be:

  • Long papers (14-20 pages) or Short papers (8-10 pages), both in one column Springer format (see below).
  • Both must be original, unpublished papers documenting new research contributions, practice and experience, or novel applications in VR/AR/MR, addressing one or several topics of interest describe below.

The topics of interest of Scientific/Technical papers may be seen here

Long and short Scientific/Technical papers will be selected by the International Program Committee (IPC), and accepted papers will be published as a book of the Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series edited by Springer. Information about indexing of the LNCS series is available through the Publisher’s website.

For paper submission, as well as to provide the Camera-ready document set for accepted papers, it is mandatory to upload, before the related deadlines, all documents thanks to the Online Conference Service (OCS) of Springer, whose a specific page concerns the review and the book edition of the EuroVR 2017 proceedings. This OSC access is available here.

In submitting a paper the author(s) agree that, upon acceptance, they will prepare the final manuscript in time for inclusion into the published proceedings and will present the paper at the conference.

To allow the publication of an accepted paper in the conference proceedings, it is mandatory one of the authors signs the copyright form on behalf of all of the other authors. The signing author must have obtained permission to do so beforehand. Moreover, the final manuscript will not be published without a regular registration of at least one of the authors of the accepted paper (including payment of the registration fee) before the deadline for camera-ready submission

Apart the publication of the conference proceedings, some of the best papers will be selected by a special committee to be invited to submit an extended version to the open access journal Frontiers in Virtual Environments. Information about this extended version submission procedure will be provided later on the EuroVR 2017 website and specific emails will be also addressed to the concerned authors.

Paper Formatting

The authors can refer to Springer’s LNCS webpage where nearly all information relevant to both volume editors and contributing authors regarding the LNCS print/electronic publication process can be found.

Springer has developed LaTeX style files and Word templates to help you prepare your paper. LaTeX is the preferred format (especially for texts containing several formulae), but Word templates are also available. For the use of LaTeX2e for the preparation of your camera-ready manuscript, please download

For the use of Microsoft Word for the preparation of your camera-ready manuscript, please download

For your convenience, please upload here the Authors Guidelines.

Paper Submission

It is possible to submit full papers and short papers. Only papers submitted, before September 29, 2017 – 12 am CEST, through the OCS of Springer and strictly adhering to the relevant format will be considered for reviewing and publication.

Camera Ready Instructions

For authors whose paper will be accepted in short or long format, they will have to upload on the OCS webpage before the October 30, 2017 – 12 am CET, not only the Camera-ready file (pdf), but also the full Source files (i.e. Latex file and all the image files, or the full Word file including images). That is what we name ‘Camera-ready file set’.

Moreover, for the same deadline, each accepted paper must be accompanied by a Springer copyright form, a so-called Consent to Publish form. Modified forms are not acceptable. Please upload here the LNCS Consent to Publish form related to the Proceedings of the 14th annual EuroVR conference (EuroVR 2017) - Scientific and Technical papers. This form must be signed by at least one author on behalf of all the others.

Papers without signed copyright form, and without a regular registration for at least one of the authors at the camera ready deadline will not be included in the conference proceedings published as an LNCS book of Springer.
